About Learning Harbour

Learning Harbour by Server Attic is a free, self-paced place to learn practical, safe AI: how to run models and agents locally, how to use AI at work without handing it authority it shouldn’t have, and how to keep evidence you can stand behind.

Who runs it

Learning Harbour is run by Toni Cardoso, based in Jersey. I’ve spent 20 years keeping production systems alive, and now I’m pointing that discipline at a home AI server: local-first agents, memory and benchmarks. It started with an old HP box running at home, which became a home server, then a lab for local AI agents. The courses are the notes I wished I’d had: what fits in memory, where an agent’s permissions should stop, and why a green tick isn’t a restore.

What you’ll find

  • Four free courses: Local AI Agents (33 lessons), AI Foundations (15), AI-Powered Project Management (15) and Local AI Agents: Advanced Systems (early access, Module 1 of 7).
  • Articles on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on local AI, home servers, networking, home automation and delivery governance.
  • No paywall, no adverts, no advertising trackers.

How this is made

We use AI to build an AI-literacy site, and we think you should know how.

  • Lessons and articles are drafted with AI agents from primary sources (vendor docs, standards bodies such as NIST and OWASP, the APM glossary). Every factual claim is recorded in a public source list on the page.
  • Each piece goes through a separate AI fact-and-editorial review, then a human (Toni) approves the exact reviewed version before it is published. Nothing goes live automatically.
  • Article pages carry a review date. If you spot an error, tell us via Support and we’ll correct it and note the change.

About certificates

Courses with a final exam (80% pass mark, server-graded) issue a certificate you can verify at a public link. It records completion on Learning Harbour only. It is not an accredited qualification, and we make no identity, employment or income claims.

Privacy

Our own article counters are first-party and aggregate: we count reads and share actions on our servers, against the article rather than against you. The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, Cloudflare’s cookieless, aggregate performance and visit measurement. There’s no advertising and we don’t sell data. See our Privacy notice.
